Welcome to the Ellender Memorial Library's online repository for student theses as created by students in Nicholls State University's Graduate Studies programs.

A thesis is a document submitted in support of candidature for an academic degree presenting the author's research and findings. The following graduate student theses are all part of graduate programs at Nicholls State University. They are organized by department, author's last name, and thesis defense semester.

The thesis will generally be divided into three parts.  First will be the preliminary material, then the body and end materials.  Examples of several of the items are included here.  The preliminary material will include pages in the following order:

  1. Title page

  1. Copyright page (if the work is to be copyrighted)

  1. Approval page (All members of the Thesis Committee must appear by name and  rank/title  with original signatures in black ink)

  1. Abstract (limited to 450 words)

  1. Acknowledgments (optional)

  1. Table of Contents

  1. List of Tables (if included)

  1. List of Figures (if included)
