Welcome to the ENG 215 Guide on the Appalachian Literature

  • Digital Library of Appalachia - This database "provides online access to archival and historical materials related to the culture of the southern and central Appalachian region" (quote from their website).
  • Documenting the American South (DocSouth) - This database "provides Internet access to texts, images, and audio files related to southern history, literature, and culture" (quote from their website).
  • Search Strategies - Contains two videos teaching how to search our Discovery database.
  • Google Hacks - Get help searching Google for better results related to your topic.
  • MLA Citation Format - Learn or refresh your memory on how to cite using MLA format.
