Types of Instruction

Introduction

A 15 to 20 minute session on the first week of classes to explain to the students some of the library resources we have and how to contact their librarian.

One-Shot

One instructional session that includes a brief overview of library services, an introduction to their librarian, an overview of how to research, and a customized demo of not only our discovery service, but also any databases that might benefit their research.

Embedded

Embedded instruction sessions usually include total immersion of the librarian in the course. Your librarian would show up for every class during the semester, assist with planning the syllabus, teach for several sessions, and assist with reviewing the assignments.

Semi-Embedded

Semi-Embedded can include any variation of the services/resources in a fully embedded course. This can include the librarian showing up to several, but not all classes, co-editing the Moodle course, and teaching the students relevant research information in time with their assignments.
