Search Tips
A large percentage of government information is available online directly from the federal and state agencies and departments.
If you know the agency or department involved in your area of research, you can search the agency's website directly. If you're not sure where to begin, try the search tricks below:
Google Search
In Google, you can use this search technique. Enter "site:gov" + keyword(s). This will search for your keyword(s) on all sites that have the domain .gov.
You also have the ability to search within a particular website. For example, search for "ebola statistics" with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
